COMO SE DIZ “VIVENDO E APRENDENDO” EM INGLÊS?

Você já ouviu falar na expressão “vivendo e aprendendo”?

Eu me lembro de ter usado essa expressão quando vivenciei momentos não tão bons, onde geralmente me decepcionei com alguém.

Definition of live and learn

Informal

—used to say that one has learned something from an experience that is surprising and usually unpleasant.

Examples:

1. I thought I could trust Gina, but I could not. Well, live and learn.

2. "Live and learn" said Mia. "I never knew that we could bake this pie like this."

3. Jane bought some cheap shoes, but they were worn out in 2 months. Live and learn. (Neste caso a Jane aprendeu a lição através da experiencia)

Alguns outros exemplos em frases;

1. "Hey, do you want to go out for a drink tonight?" "No thanks, I did that other day and it didn’t come out really well "So? " "Live and learn!"
